Capital Campaign December 2019 Update

Dear Friend of Saint Andrew,

During this festive time of year, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas! May you and your loved ones fully experience the joy this special season brings.

It has been awhile since our last communication on the status of our capital campaign- Enrich, Expand, Grow. Thank you for your patience and commitment! Much work has been done behind the scenes to bring us to this point. These are the highlights!

We have commissioned a Facilities and Construction Committee, consisting of members from our community who are professional architects and structural engineers. They are well into phase 1, which entails a comprehensive examination of architectural plans, design development, environmental reports, contract bidding, permits, and sequencing of projects related to our proposed school addition.

An essential task of phase 1 involves finding a temporary home for our Junior Kindergarten program that will be displaced once we begin phase 2: the demolition of the Annex building. Various available spaces, such as the former convent chapel and spaces in the gym are being analyzed for conversion into temporary classrooms that would then be used for other needs once the capital campaign is completed.

Practicing good stewardship, we are diligently proceeding through these earlier phases in preparation for phase 3: construction of the school addition, and the addition of green space and a playground for the enjoyment of the entire community.

As our school continues to grow, the need for additional space has become a high priority. This school addition and temporary spaces will help us keep up the high standards for which we are known for.

Thank you to those who have participated in the capital campaign thus far. If you have not yet made a pledge, it is not too late to do so. We need the participation of all our members, through their earnest prayers and generous contributions. Please feel free to call either one of us or Julie Richards at the parish office for more information.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

In Christ
