Announcing Our Story – 2018

Dear Parish Family,

Through the use of parables, Jesus, the masterful storyteller that he was and is, always helped believers to understand the Kingdom of God in ways that were relatable and spoke to the heart. For over 2,000 years the Church has told the same story through the proclamation of Sacred Scripture, preaching, soaring cathedrals, colorful stained glass windows, and precious art.

Here at Saint Andrew, we likewise continue to tell the story. It is one of the most important things that we do as a community of faith. For that reason, I am very pleased to present our newly redesigned parish bulletin, website, and logo. These efforts are the result of almost two years of work to look at how we can better tell not only the story of the Kingdom of God, but our story as well. For 124 years, Saint Andrew has gathered as a parish to pray and celebrate the Eucharist, both in times of joy and sadness. Through these celebrations we have learned much about God and each other.

Strengthened through the Eucharist and the gift of Wisdom, we are compelled to spread the love of God, through our service, to a world in need of healing. It is my hope that our renewed efforts to tell God s story as well as our story, may resonate in your heart.

God Bless,

Fr. Sergio Romo
